Gravity is the enemy of precision. Every watchmaker since Abraham-Louis Breguet has understood this, which is why the tourbillon became horology's most celebrated complication — a cage designed to tumble the escapement through all positions, averaging out the gravitational error. The Defy Zero G takes a different approach, and arguably a more radical one: a self-regulating gravity control module that continuously positions the oscillating system to neutralise positional error without the mechanical theatre of a rotating cage. In 44 mm of brushed titanium, it is the most technically ambitious wristwatch in Zenith's modern catalogue.

The openworked dial presents the El Primero 8812 S manual movement in full transparency, the gravity control module visible at 6 o'clock performing its perpetual correction, small seconds at 9 o'clock ticking with metronomic authority. Hours and minutes appear eccentrically at 12 o'clock, freed from the centre to allow the movement architecture to dominate the dial's composition. A power-reserve indicator at 2 o'clock completes a functional display of exceptional density. The titanium bracelet is aircraft-grade in both material and execution.

At approximately 50 hours of power reserve and 10 ATM water resistance, the Defy Zero G does not trade practicality for complication.
