I grew up with a few Seikos and an eye for cool watches. The kind of person who noticed what was on someone's wrist before anything else. That instinct never went away, even as my career took me through consulting, risk management, real estate, and the legal industry.
In each of those fields I learned how assets are valued, documented, and transacted. Skills that turned out to map directly onto the watch market. When I started seriously studying watches alongside luxury cars as alternative assets, 5D Watches started to take shape.
I am building Wristly alongside 5D Watches. As I saw gaps in the market, the two businesses developed hand in hand: Wristly as the platform and network for collectors and dealers, 5D as the direct buyer. Both exist because sellers deserve better than what the local market offers them.
