Power comes from Calibre 7140, a slim, high-efficiency movement developed specifically for the 1908. Running at 21,600 vph with a 66-hour power reserve, it incorporates Rolex's Chronergy escapement and is visible through a sapphire exhibition caseback — a first for a production Rolex. The leather strap with a white gold folding clasp completes an ensemble designed explicitly for formal wear, departing from the Oyster bracelet tradition entirely.
