About This Watch

At the summit of the Luminor collection stands the PAM00767, a 47 mm tourbillon in brushed titanium that represents Panerai's most comprehensive statement of in-house horological mastery. The P.2005/T calibre is entirely hand-wound and entirely skeleton, its architecture revealed through a dial that has been reduced to a supporting framework for the rotating cage of the tourbillon — the mechanism invented by Abraham-Louis Breguet in 1801 to neutralise positional errors in precision movements.

The functions assembled in this calibre are exceptional even by grandes complications standards: hours, minutes, small seconds, GMT, 24-hour indicator, a power reserve display on the case back, and the tourbillon itself, all sustained for approximately six days from a mainspring architecture that Panerai's engineers conceived from first principles. The brushed titanium case — harder than steel, lighter, and possessed of a grey-blue tonality that suits the skeletal aesthetic — carries the crown-protecting device in polished titanium, its lever geometry as resolute at this price tier as at any other.

A dark-blue alligator strap with beige stitching provides the final word in restrained luxury: the calibration of contrast between deep blue leather and warm-toned stitching is a Florentine detail that elevates craft to artisanship. Water resistant to 100 metres and rated for six days unwound, the PAM00767 is a watch for those who understand that complication, material, and heritage are most powerful when held in exact proportion.
