The 40mm case follows the contemporary interpretation of the historically significant 62GS design, a form first introduced in 1967 that is distinguished by its multi-faceted case architecture and the absence of a bezel ring, allowing the dial to assert its full visual presence. The case construction employs the Zaratsu polishing technique across every flat and curved surface, producing transitions between mirror and satin planes so precise that the boundaries appear to have been drawn rather than ground. The dual-curve box-shape sapphire crystal continues this geometry upward, maintaining visual fidelity to the dial beneath it.
