About This Watch

The Code 11.59 Flying Tourbillon Chronograph, ref. 26399NR.OO.D002KB.01, marries two of watchmaking's most demanding individual disciplines — the flying tourbillon and the column-wheel integrated chronograph — within a 41 mm case combining black ceramic and 18-carat pink gold in a material pairing of stark, contemporary sophistication. The black ceramic provides extraordinary hardness and scratch resistance alongside a deep, light-absorbing matte finish, while the pink gold bezel, lugs, pushpieces, and crown introduce warmth and precious-metal hierarchy to what would otherwise be an all-dark proposition.

The automatic movement within — Calibre 2954, AP's integrated flying tourbillon chronograph calibre — oscillates at 3 Hz and delivers 65 hours of power reserve from its twin-barrel architecture. The flying tourbillon, positioned without a traditional bridge above its carriage, appears to hover in space as it completes its one-minute rotation; the chronograph mechanism, driven by a column-wheel and horizontal clutch, provides instantaneous start-stop-reset response. Finishing standards include hand-bevelled anglage, circular Côtes de Genève, and the blued screws visible through the transparent sapphire caseback.

White gold hands trace their paths across the openworked dial with clarity against the skeleton background, a considered legibility decision on a movement whose complexity could easily sacrifice readability. A black rubber strap — supple, durable, and architecturally appropriate to the case material — terminates in AP's folding clasp. Water-resistant to 30 metres and presented with box and papers, this piece defines what serious complication looks like when delivered through Code 11.59's contemporary lens.
