A rare intersection of Swiss haute horlogerie and American streetwear design culture, Ref. 26238BA.OO.2000BA.01 was produced in collaboration with Matthew Williams, founder of the cult New York label 1017 ALYX 9SM, whose signature industrial aesthetic — rooted in the metal hardware of theme park rollercoasters — finds an unexpectedly symbiotic dialogue with the Royal Oak Offshore's own industrial design language. The 42 mm case in 18-carat yellow gold gives the collaboration a precious metal gravitas that anchors Williams's modern sensibility in AP's century-and-a-half heritage.

Powered by Calibre 3120, AP's proven in-house selfwinding movement with approximately 60 hours of power reserve, the Offshore's mechanical specification is entirely in keeping with its 100-metre water resistance rating and screw-locked crown. The octagonal case — descended directly from Emmanuel Gueit's 1993 original — here receives the yellow gold treatment favoured by the hip-hop generation that adopted the Offshore as its horological totem in the early 2000s, creating a watch that speaks simultaneously to that cultural history and to Williams's contemporary reinterpretation of it.
