Born from the provocative 1993 redesign that turned Gerald Genta's original Royal Oak blueprint into an instrument of extreme sport, the Royal Oak Offshore Diver distills a half-century of aquatic engineering into one purposeful 42 mm statement. Where Genta envisioned the eight-bolt octagonal bezel as an architectural flourish borrowed from marine porthole design, AP's engineers have here hardened it into a tool-watch proposition capable of withstanding 300 metres of water pressure — a depth rating that eclipses nearly all of its luxury-segment peers.

Powering this reference is Calibre 3120, Audemars Piguet's in-house automatic movement delivering approximately 60 hours of power reserve from its 280-component architecture.
