Gerald Genta's 1972 masterwork reaches a new level of refinement in the Royal Oak 15510 — the direct successor to the celebrated 15400 — wearing an 18-carat pink gold octagonal case of 41 mm matched to a richly hued blue Grande Tapisserie dial. The Grande Tapisserie guilloché, a refined smaller-check pattern exclusive to the gold Royal Oak lineage, shifts between deep indigo and vibrant sapphire depending on the light, giving the dial a depth that flat colour can never replicate.

The movement within is the in-house Calibre 4302, Audemars Piguet's latest-generation selfwinding manufacture calibre engineered for the 41 mm Royal Oak. Offering a 70-hour power reserve and a quickset date corrector at 3 o'clock, Cal 4302 represents a significant technical upgrade over its predecessor, with improved regulation and an optimised rotor visible through the glareproofed sapphire caseback. The eight-sided bezel is secured by eight visible hexagonal screws — Genta's audacious industrial motif that has since become the most recognisable signature in contemporary watchmaking.

Presented on an alligator leather strap fastened with an AP folding clasp, the 15510OR offers an alternative elegance to the integrated bracelet configuration — suppler on the wrist and especially suited to formal dress. Rated to 50 metres and supplied with original box and papers, this rose-gold example appeals to the discerning collector who values both pedigree and wearability in equal measure.
