Introduced in 2019 as Audemars Piguet's most architecturally ambitious new collection in decades, the Code 11.59 represents a deliberate departure from octagonal convention. Its round 41 mm case conceals a layered complexity — an octagonal middle case sandwiched between a round bezel and lugs — that rewards close examination. Here in 18-carat rose gold with a contrasting white gold bezel, lugs, and caseback, the tonal interplay between the two precious metals adds considerable depth to the already sophisticated form.

The satiny grey dial features applied index and Arabic numeral hour markers accompanied by Sedna gold-toned hands — a warm, rose-inflected alloy that harmonises beautifully with the pink gold case beneath. At the heart of the watch beats Calibre 4302, AP's manufacture selfwinding movement with a 60-hour power reserve and silicon escapement components. The movement is visible through the double glareproofed sapphire caseback, its finish worthy of careful contemplation. The watch is fitted with an alligator leather strap with pin buckle, water resistant to 30 metres.
